HOW TO GET OVER A BREAKUP (CRASHOUT EDITION)

Heartbreak Sucks. Here’s How to Deal With It (Without Lying to Yourself)

I know, breakups suck. Your laying in bed at night wondering if you’ll ever feel normal again. I’m not here to feed you fluffy "time heals all wounds" crap. This is your no-BS guide to pulling yourself out of the post-breakup trenches.

You’re allowed to hurt—but you’re not allowed to stay stuck. Let’s go.

1. THE BEST REVENGE ISN'T GETTING BACK AT THEM - IT'S OUTGROWING THEM ENTIRELY

Work on yourself. Focus your attention and energy towards improving every aspect of your life.

You have the energy to think about them constantly don’t you? So why not direct that same energy elsewhere into your finances, your physical and mental health?

Begin to outgrow them in every possible way. That is the best revenge.

Do this instead
→ Literally imagine yourself successful and healthy every single day. It works.
→ When you miss them, do one thing to improve your life (gym, side hustle, etc.).

2. THEY'RE NOT THINKING ABOUT YOU (AND YOU NEED TO STOP THINKING ABOUT THEM)

That fantasy where they miss you? Wake up. If they wanted to be here, they would. Every minute you spend obsessing is time that could be used to change your life.

Do this instead:
→ Block. Mute. Delete. You’re not allowed to have that "just one last look."
→ When you catch yourself reminiscing, say out loud: "That's over."

3. LONELINESS ISN'T A SIGN TO GO BACK - IT'S A SIGN TO LEVEL UP

That empty feeling? It's supposed to hurt. That's how you know you're growing. Going back to what's familiar is how people stay stuck for years.

Do this instead
→ Sign up for something that would make your ex do a double-take.
→ Make plans with friends 1-2 times a week. Limit isolation as much as you can.

THE UNFILTERED TRUTH

Every second you waste on someone who chose to leave you is a betrayal of yourself. Cut the cord.

Your Move:

  1. Do ONE aggressive closure ritual (delete photos, burn mementos, etc.)

  2. Text a friend: "I'm done with [ex's name]. Hold me to it."

  3. Reply to this email with what you did.
